7.2.10 // real tuscany

today was full of action. pisa, chianti, and siena all in one day. spent tons of time in a bus, but i didn’t mind because the tuscan country side is breathtaking. my mom has always said that if she could live anywhere, it would be a villa in tuscany. now i know why.

we stopped for lunch at a villa where they make wine and oils



in siena they were having the palio, which is a horse race that takes place over the summer. it’s kind of a big deal and the whole city was out. very crowded.

on the way back to florence we drove past this little village that was having a sort of renaissance fair. complete with jousting!







such a fun day. i feel like i walked like 27 miles!
